Another song that's been floating around for years. I first came up with the main riff and chorus lyrics almost all at the same time, when I was living in England in 2002. Recently broken up with a girlfriend, totally unsure what to do with my life (yes, even unsure about music at that point) and scared to even make a move in any direction... I'm pretty sure the lyrics were directed at myself! The good part is, I obviously took my own advice, and this song was as big a catalyst as any to move forward with my musical ventures. It's been getting better and better ever since!
This tune made an appearance on my first CD Out of the Light, in barely recognizable form compared to here - thanks to my awesome drummer bandmate Kyle Allesia for suggesting a much snappier title!

You have the same dream every night
You wonder what it's like to really be alive
And you just can't seem to figure it out
You never get a clue of what it's all about

Now I'm listening to all your fears
Nothing that I say could help you out of this
Let me tell you about what is gone
Everything you ever felt or ever saw

And now for the surprise
It glances into your eyes
Can't stop it any more
I wanna stop feeling sore!

You've gotta learn to live again
Stop being scared, don't be afraid
Yeah, it's time to break away again
Leave it all behind, and fly away

Nothing is the same any more
Nothing comes your way, just let it go
You think it's different, but nothing has changed
You gotta start to look inside yourself again
